Nell Louise Broyles was raised in Scarsdale, NY and Hope, Arkansas. She received a BA from Hendersons Tech Center in Arkansas in 1944. She taught school until 1949, until she married William C. Yarbrough, MD. They moved to Greenville, MS in 1953 where her husband worked as a radiologist at DRMC for 45 years. Together they raised six children. Bill passed away in February 2004. Her return to painting has been great fun and helped her cope with her sorrow. With a little God-given talent and only public school art training, she painted "B.C." (before children) and now "A.D." (after death) of her husband. Painting since 2004, for her own amazement and fun, has kept her young. Her medium of choice is oil because it is so forgiving. (br)
