Cherie Clark Prine is a Mississippi native who was born and raised in Greenwood, MS. She began painting in 2003 and has since quit her job in the medical field to pursue art full time. She says " I am inspired by the Delta in ways that can only be expressed through my chosen medium. The Mississippi Delta is rich with culture and history. I see my world as a place of saturated color and constant motion. The Delta is a richly diverse place full of musicians, writers, and artists and there is a treasure trove of inspiration in my surroundings". She has recently completed construction on a new studio where she paints full time. She now resides in Greenville with her husband, Steve, and her children.
